3 hours in ethics are required. Professionals who regular treat adults must take 2 hours in dependent adult abuse training for mandatory reporters, followed by 1 hour in every following 3 year period. Professionals who regularly treat children must take 1 hour in child abuse training for mandatory reporters, followed by 1 hour in every following 3 year period. Professionals serving in a supervisory role must complete three hours of continuing education in supervision.

Any course accepted by Board of Behavioral Science Examiners is applicable to the LPC credential.
