About the Course

This course is based on the book by the same name (this course covers Chapters 10 to 13). This course reviews time-effective and cost-effective strategies for helping clients break free of dysregulated behaviors—such as substance abuse, binge eating, compulsive spending, addictive behaviors, and aggression. Mindfulness and modification therapy (MMT) integrates mindfulness practices with elements of other evidence-based approaches. MMT can be used as a stand-alone treatment or as a beginning to more intensive therapy. This book/course reviews general theories, principles, and tips; session implementation guidelines; case examples; and guided mindfulness practices.

This course is based on the Chapter 10-13 of the book, Treating Impulsive, Addictive, and Self-Destructive Behaviors: Mindfulness and Modification Therapy created by Peggilee Wupperman, Ph.D..
