Approval for Social Workers in Illinois

Impact CE’s distance learning courses are available for continuing education credit for licensed Social Workers/Clinical Social Workers as required by the Illinois Board of Social Workers.

At least 3 of the 30 hours must include content related to the ethical practice of social work and, effective December 1, 2013, at least 3 of the 30 hours must include content related to cultural competence in the practice of social work.

Implicit Bias Training – A minimum of 1 hour of training every renewal. This can be a 1 CE training.

Sexual Harassment Prevention Training – A minimum of 1 hour of training every renewal. This can be a 1CE training or a training that meets the requirements of the rule and may not offer CEs. The training must meet the requirements listed in the rule.

Mandated Reporter Training – A minimum of 1 hour of training every renewal. This can be a 1CE training or a training that meets the requirements of the law.

Alzheimer’s Education – A minimum of 1 hour of training every renewal. This can be a 1CE training or a training that meets the requirements of the law. The training must meet the requirements listed in the law. “This requirement shall only apply to health care professionals who provide health care services to, and have direct patient interactions with, adult populations age 26 or older in the practice of their profession.”

1 hour Cultural Competency training.
